pico.jpgLove eating out? Looking for new places to try and new people to share the experience?

I’m the organizer for Dining Out Club/Houston! We’re a growing bunch of dedicated foodies, all wanting to find exciting places to meet and eat. Once or more each month we go to different restaurants somewhere in (or near) Houston. I’m anxious for you to join in the fun!

  • There are no club fees!
  • Each attendee pays their own food bill.
  • This meeting starts at 7pm and lasts about two hours.
  • Some people stay around after the meal to enjoy the venue and the company.
Interested? Sign up and RSVP for our next meeting. Come every meeting or come when you can!

FYI: We use www.meetup.com as our RSVP/Membership tracking tool. It’s free for you!

This Meeting

Entrees are from $12 to $20.

About The Chef at Pico’s

Arnaldo Richards serves the same food he grew up eating. Having parents and grandparents, and even great-grandparents who grew up over the diverse culinary landscape, the menu at Pico?s is a scrapbook of their favorite meals from the seven regions of Mexico. From the Yucatan, comes the method of cooking meats wrapped in banana leaves. Fresh seafood from the waters of the Gulf and the Pacific is cooked with grilled onions and poblano peppers, or the sophisticated sauces from the Mexico City region.

Here is a great sampling of our great special menu items:

Calamares A la Mexicana
A unique twist on an old favorite. We start with succulent fresh calamari, sauté it with onions, add Serrano peppers, cilantro and fresh tomatoes.

Huachinango Tikin Xik
Red Snapper filet seasoned with achiote, charcoal-broiled in banana leaves and served with pickled red onions.

Pollo Pibil
Achiote-marinated baked chicken wrapped in banana leaves and served with pickled red onions.

Chiles en Nogada
Traditional or vegetarian roasted poblano pepper stuffed with shredded pork or wild rice cooked in peanut sauce with olives, almonds and raisins, covered with a cold creamy walnut sauce and sprinkled with pomegranates.

Enchiladas de Mariscos
Sautéed shrimp and crab meat enchiladas with poblano cream sauce and Chihuahua cheese.

From the bar:
Enjoy a famous signature Rita from our bar. We also serve other great wines and spirits, as well. Whatever your pleasure, we can accommodate you.
